Brian Osborne, percussionist, is an active performer of improvised music, and has been organizing and participating in DIY music events throughout the US and in Europe for over 12 years. Along with his solo percussion music, Brian's current projects include DOSDEDOS, Blastocyst, Paper Legs, and the George Steeltoe Ensemble. Brian collaborates frequently in various settings with Michael Thomas Jackson, and as a duo with Blaise Siwula. Brian has performed, recorded or worked with Daniel Carter, Sabir Mateen, KatsuYuki Itakura, Jeffrey Shurdut, Elisa Osborne, Bruce Eisenbeil, Andrew Barker, Christoph Irmer, Ge-Suk Yeo, Charles Waters, Seth Misterka, Rompecabeza; and with members of Sightings, Hair Police, Mouthus, and Sharks with Wings. Brian has a Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance from the North Carolina School of the Arts; and has studied and performed Javanese Gamelan Music. Currently living in Brooklyn NY, Brian continues his studies under Master Percussionist, Milford Graves.
