Lara Kohl is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice incorporates, sound, video, film, sculpture, installation, and writing in various combinations. Her work addresses one’s relationship to structures of power -political, institutional, and social. Recent projects have focused on the voice and the agency of the individual in the face of globalization and dominant cultural practices. Currently, she teaches art at New York University, Pratt Institute, and SUNY College at Old Westbury.
