Leyna Marika Papach
Leyna Marika Papach
is a composer, violinist and video artist from Japan and the United States.
She has worked internationally with various artists in the field of film,
theater and dance, and has written and directed musical theater/dance
pieces that have been performed in Holland, France, Czech Republic, Senegal
as well as in Japan. As a violinist, she has been in several bands with
a focus on improvisation (Geraldine fibbers, Noise of time) and has played
with musicians such as Nels Cline (wilco), Carla Bozulich, Andy Lansangan
(90 day men), Jason Forrest (Donna Summer), and J.G.Thirwell (Foetus).
Recently she finished a music score for a theatrical production of 'the
Little Prince' in Roundhouse Theatre in D.C., and is currently working
as a video designer for choreographer Clarinda MacLow, and as a composer
for Daara Dance, a dance company formed in 2003 together with choreographer/dancer
Michel Kouakou. |
