TheKilllMeTrio fuse a space between emo’s sobriety and free jazz’s exuberance blending pulsing, driving bass lines and feedback-like frequencies from the saxophone with tuneful passages deep like Mingus.

Shayna Dulberger, composer/upright bass, lives and works in New York City. Over the last few years she has become a growing force in the New York free music community playing with the likes of Ras Moshe, Daniel Carter, Jackson Krall, Paul Flaherty, and many others. TheKillMeTrio is her first time appearing as bandleader and is the group’s composer.

Darius Jones, composer/producer/sax player, lives and works in New York City, originally from Norfolk, Va. In his own words Darius likes to make “crazy noises, funky noises, sweet noises, and joyful noises.” All of which portray the troubled heart and weighted soul of a heavy and emotional player.

Jason Nazary, drummer/composer from Atlanta, Ga., has played with many renown artists including Dave Douglas, Joe Lovano, Jason Moran, Kenny Wheeler, and John Abercrombie. Now residing in New York, Jason is quickly making an impression on the scene with his challenging and creative style.
